Russian projects likely to be given priority by AIIB - minister

"I think yes. It has a chance," Ulyukayev said when asked whether Russian projects might be given priority

BEIJING, January 16. /TASS/. Russia may become one of the countries whose projects would be financed with priority by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) established at China's initiative, Economic Development Minister Alexey Ulyukayev told reporters after the first day of the board of governors' meeting held in Beijing on Saturday.

"I think yes. It has a chance," Ulyukayev said when asked whether Russian projects might be given priority.

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank has been created to overcome infrastructure restrictions for the Asian nations' economic development by providing a big range of financial services: credit granting, participation in the capital, guarantees and technical assistance.
