ROME, January 11. /TASS/. Italia’s energy company Eni does not consider participation of the company in the Nord Stream-2 pipeline project or divestment of a stake in its subsidiary Saipem, Chief Executive Officer of the company Claudio Descalzi said on Monday.
"I rule out sale of a stake in Saipem, especially at current prices, for the time being and in the near term. Neither divestment of Saipem nor participation in the Nord Stream-2 is currently on the agenda," the chief executive said.
Saipem may take part in activities for implementation of the Nord Stream-2, Descalzi said. "However, this is up to Saipem," he added.
