MOSCOW, December 21. /TASS/. Gazprom Export, the export arm of Russian gas holding Gazprom, plans to hold the auction on the natural gas supply to Baltic nations early next year, the company told TASS on Monday.
"The auction will be held in the beginning of 2016. This was made to ensure comfortable conditions for its preparation," Gazprom Export said.
Gazprom earlier planned to hold the auction in December.
The auction anticipates gas supplies after expiry of contracts valid until the end of this year. Details of the future auction will be communicated later on. The contract on gas supply to Lithuania will expire in 2016.
TASS reported earlier the average export price of gas deliveries to Baltic states was $283.86 per 1,000 cubic meters in the third quarter of 2016.
