Russia's Gazprom has no task of totally suspending gas transit via Ukraine — official

Some countries will receive gas via Ukraine in any case

MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/. The minimum volume of gas transit via Ukraine after 2019 will remain in any case, Gazprom’s Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee Valery Golubev said on Tuesday.

"Some countries will receive gas via Ukraine in any case, Moldova, for instance," he said.

According to Golubev, Gazprom "has no task" to totally suspend gas transit via Ukraine.

Golubev also said that the price of gas for Ukraine will amount to $230 per 1,000 cubic meters in the Q1 of 2016 without discount.

"$230 for 1,000 cubic meters of gas. Discount - only by the decision of the Russian government," Golubev said.
