YEKATERINBURG, December 4. /TASS/. One person was killed and four others were injured during the blast at the Malyginskoye gas condensate field in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area, in northwest Siberia, the local emergencies ministry said on Friday.
"According to preliminary data, one person is dead and four people are injured," a spokesperson said, adding that investigation into the incident is ongoing.
The blast occurred at around 3.00 p.m. Moscow time in a trailer during the work on preparing explosive charges. The works were carried out by a subcontractor, Kostroma Geofisika.
The ministry’s press service said an emergency response team has been set up to deal with the consequences.
