Ukraine’s prepaid gas enough for only 5 days — Gazprom CEO

Gazprom exports to non-CIS countries increased by 4.3% to 130.8 bln cubic meters since the beginning of the year, the company reports

MOSCOW, November 2. /TASS/. Ukraine has prepaid gas for only 5 more days, Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller said Monday.

"At the same time Ukraine starting from early November reduced consumption of Russian gas due to Naftogaz of Ukraine’s almost three-fold financial deficit. Ukraine has prepaid gas for only 5 more days," Miller said.

As TASS reported earlier, in late October Naftogaz of Ukraine has made up an account with Gazprom for the supply of 2 bln cubic meters of gas. Overall, Ukrainian company transferred almost $500 mln to Gazprom — $234 mln on October 12, $136 mln ion October 20, and $64 mln in late October.

The price of the Russian gas for Ukraine in the Q4 of 2015 amounted to $227.5 per 1,000 cubic meters.

Gazprom exports to non-CIS countries increased by 4.3% to 130.8 bln cubic meters since the beginning of the year, the company told TASS Monday.

In October, the growth in export sales amounted to 41.36%, exports increased to 14.7 bln cubic meters of gas.

As TASS reported earlier, Miller said that the company increased its daily production in October to the record levels.

He also said that the rate of growth in the volume of deliveries of Russian gas exported to Europe early in the Q4 increased significantly; the main target markets show the growth of the project Nord Stream-2. The target markets for Nord Stream-2" are Germany, France, Italy, as well gas hub Baumgarten.
