Russia plans to create autocluster in Egypt - media

The talk is mainly about machine building enterprises, that is assembly plants of the GAZ, UAZ, KamAZ and AvtoVAZ automobile makers

MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. Russia intends to establish in Egypt an industrial park in which a number of key non-energy domestic companies organize assembly of their products, Russian Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Georgy Kalmanov told the Izvestiya daily.

The talk is mainly about machine building enterprises, that is assembly plants of the GAZ, UAZ, KamAZ and AvtoVAZ automobile makers.

"We plan - and such work is already being conducted - to form a Russian industrial zone for localization of Russian production with entry to the markets of Egypt and other African countries," Kalmanov said.

"First and foremost, transport machine building companies will appear there - all that will be in demand on local markets," he said.
