Oil tank burning in Russia’s Siberian Khanty-Mansi autonomous district

Fire extinguishing effort involves 15 pieces of equipment and 60 Emergencies Ministry’s officers

YEKATERINBURG, October 21. /TASS/. A 10,000 cubic-meter oil tank is burning in Russia’s Khanty-Mansi autonomous district in Prirazlomnoye oilfield, the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry told TASS.

The fire has been given the third degree of complexity. "The combustion occurs on the entire area of the tank mirror with the volume of 10,000 cubic meters," the press service said.

Data on the fire area is specified. Fire extinguishing effort involves 15 pieces of equipment and 60 Emergencies Ministry’s officers.

According to open sources, the production permit is owned by Gazprom Neft Shelf, a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft.
