VOSTOCHNY COSMODROME, October 14. / TASS /. Russian President Vladimir Putin gave start to the construction of a gas processing plant in the Amur region in Russia’s Far East.
The head of the state, who was at the Vostochny Cosmodrome, took part in the groundbreaking ceremony by means of teleconferencing.
By request of the head of Gazprom Alexey Miller, Putin gave the command for driving the first pile of the future plant.
He also wished success to Gazprom and Sibur companies involved in this project.
Speaking at the ceremony, Alexey Miller said that the plant will become one of the key objects of the Power of Siberia project. According to Miller, the plant will process 49 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
