MOSCOW, September 25. /TASS/. Ukraine’s state gas company Naftogaz Ukrainy expects the price for Russian gas will stand at $227.36 per 1,000 cubic meters in the fourth quarter of 2015, according to a government decree on export duty rate.
Gas discount for Ukraine equaled to $24.64 per 1,000 cubic meters at $252 per 1,000 cubic meters contract price in Q4 2015. However, now the contract price is close to $248 per 1,000 cubic meters, which means the discount will be $20.64 per 1,000 cubic meters.
Ukraine’s Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Vladimir Demchishin considers the new price for Russian gas fairer, he said on arrival at the trilateral meeting between Russia, Ukraine and the European Union.
"I have to say that in fact this price [under the formula set by the Russian government - TASS] is at least closer than $250 initially planned. This is closer to a fair level I think. As customers we’re interested in a lower price," he said.
