MOSCOW, September 22. /TASS/. The Head of the Russian branch of the international payment system Visa Andrew Torre said that in 2016 he is going to leave his post, he told reporters Tuesday.

"Last week I told the Visa staff that next year I'm going to take a new position in the company. We have started to look for a new CEO. The process has just begun," Torre said.

He said he would leave the Russian office only when the company finds the "right person" for the position.

"There are no restrictions on the search for candidates," he said.

Torre also noted that his departure is not linked with the changes in the Russian legal system and the establishment of the National Payment Card System.

Torre said that his new position in Visa includes development of the payment system in Africa.
