Russian energy minister heads Transneft oil pipeline company board of directors

MOSCOW, September 1. /TASS/. Transneft Board of Directors elected Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak as the Chairman of the Board, the company said Tuesday.

"Seven members of the Board of Directors took part in the voting process," the report said. "A quorum for action has been reached."

Seven members of the company’s Board of Directors were elected earlier on the annual shareholders’ meeting: Managing Director of Nord Stream AG Matthias Warnig, Sberbank Corporate University Dean Valery Katkalo, Energy Minister Alexander Novak, Transneft President Nikolay Tokarev, First Vice President of Gazprombank Mikhail Grishankov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Modern Commercial Fleet OJSC Ilya Klebanov and the Special Representative to the Russian President on International Cooperation in the Arctic and Antarctic Artur Chilingarov.
