MOSCOW, August 20. /TASS/. The dollar exchange rate surged by 60 kopecks to 67.2 rubles at the opening of Thursday trade on the Moscow Stock Exchange, as it exceeded 67 rubles first since February 12. Straight after it bounced to 66.81 rubles losing 39 kopecks.
The euro rose by 19 kopecks to 74.3 rubles as of 10.10 msk.
The Russian currency goes down as it follows oil prices, which plunged on Wednesday amid the US reserves increase. Commercial crude oil reserves rose in the US in the week ended on August 14 by 2.62 mln barrels to 456.2 mln barrels.
The cost of the future contracts of Brent crude oil for October 2015 delivery on London's ICE trading on Thursday went down by 0.72% to $46.81 per barrel.
