Gazprom and China determined main conditions of Western Route gas supplies

"The current negotiating process under the project has very good dynamics," Gazprom said

MOSCOW, August 18. /TASS/. Negotiations between Gazprom and the Chinese side on natural gas supplies over the ‘Western Route’ [Power of Siberia-2 gas pipeline project - TASS] have very good dynamics, Gazprom said after the meeting between Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller and Vice President of PetroChina Huang Weihe.

Main conditions of supplies have already been determined, Gazprom said, particularly the corridor of Russia-China border crossing. "The current negotiating process under the project has very good dynamics," Gazprom said.

Alexey Miller and Huang Weihe also discussed the progress in Eastern Route gas supply project. The work under project in Russia and China is on track, Gazprom said.

The Western Route provides for natural gas supplies to China from fields in the West Siberia amounting to 30 bln cubic meters a year, with a potential increase to 100 bln cubic meters thereafter. Supplies are expected to take place over 2,700 km long route.
