Russia's Transneft resumes gasoline pumping after oil product pipeline fire

MOSCOW, August 14. /TASS/. Transneft brings the gasoline line of the oil product pipeline from the Moscow Refinery to scheduled throughput capacity, official spokesperson of the Russian pipeline operator Igor Dyomin told TASS on Friday.

Gasoline transportation plan from the Moscow Refinery amounts to 5,000 tonnes to date, Dyomin said. The gasoline pipeline may resume operations even earlier but there were no pumping requests, he added.

Jet and diesel fuel pumping was restored yesterday, Dyomin said.

TASS reported earlier a fuel oil spot, where the fire outbreak occurred later, was found on August 12 at the branch pipeline to the Moscow Refinery. Circumstances of the accident are under investigation. No pipeline pressure drop was registered prior to finding the spill. Oil product pipeline damages were not found.
