Russian watchdog suspends import of Poland’s canned sprats

Rospotrebnadzor says checks have found that Polish manufacturer Graal S.A. has violated the legislation in the sphere of consumer rights, in particular for organoleptic indicators

MOSCOW, August 13. /TASS/. Russia’s consumer rights watchdog, Rospotrebnadzor, has announced that it suspends imports of Poland’s canned sprats from Friday.

Rospotrebnadzor says checks have found that Polish manufacturer Graal S.A. has violated the legislation in the sphere of consumer rights, in particular for organoleptic indicators.

The labels also include irrelevant information on nutrition and energy value and the percentage of polyunsaturated fatty acids, the watchdog says.

Russia’s Federal Customs Service and a Rospotrebnadzor department for federal subjects have been informed of the move.
