MOSCOW, August 3. /TASS/. Russia’s Deputy Finance Minister Sergey Shatalov held a meeting with oil companies on the added income tax draft law last week, Vedomosti Newspaper said on Monday citing the meeting attendees.
The draft law on the alternative financial result tax was submitted to the State Duma last year with proactive involvement of the Russian Energy Ministry. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev supported the experiment for pilot fields. The Finance Ministry intends to substitute the added income tax system for the financial result tax instead of improving the draft law on the financial result tax, officials and employees of companies said.
The Finance Ministry will thus establish control over the reform again and will gain time. The draft law on the added income tax will not be prepared and approved earlier than 2016 and it will go live from 2017 only, a newspaper’s source said.
