UFA, July 10. /TASS/. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) heads of state are ready to implement the idea of linking the two integration projects — the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Silk Road Economic Belt, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday at an expanded meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State.
"We are ready to work closely to implement the idea of linking the two integration projects — the Eurasian Economic Union and the Silk Road Economic Belt," he said.
According to the Russian leader, "together we can more effectively offset the impact of the world economic and financial crisis and more easily overcome various restrictions and barriers."
"We believe it is also important to improve cooperation for stepping up food, energy, financial and transport security," Putin said.
