MOSCOW, July 6. /TASS/. Russia’s success and economic prosperity directly depend on the emergence of the class of respected businessmen in the country, Vladimir Potanin, CEO and one of the owners of Norilsk Nickel said in an interview with TASS.

"Personally, I do not see any official promotion of the benefits of entrepreneurship for society and it is no secret that our information policy is determined by the government, which controls all mainstream media. That means that there is no order /from the government - TASS/. However, this does not mean that the situation cannot change in the future. I'm deeply convinced that the success and economic prosperity of Russia directly depends on the emergence of the respected business class. Perhaps my words may seem high-flown, but that it is the case. Entrepreneurs can work for themselves, for the state or for a private company, but all together they move the economy forward, "- Potanin said.

In March 2015, CEO and one of the owners of Norilsk Nickel, Vladimir Potanin, topped the Forbes rating of the richest Russians.

The rating included 85 Russian billionaires. With the fortune of $14.8 billion Potanin also ranks 60th among the richest people of the world.
