Ukraine suspends natural gas import from Hungary — Ukrtransgaz

Earlier Naftogas of Ukraine suspended gas procurements from Gazprom

KIEV, July 1. /TASS/. Ukraine has suspended the import of natural gas from Hungary, Ukrtransgaz press service told TASS Wednesday.

"As of this morning we import gas only from Slovakia," Ukrtransgaz spokesman Maksim Belyavsky said, commenting on the situation with the reverse supply of gas to Ukraine.

He added that Ukrtransgaz received an application to import 13.6 mln cubic meters of gas from Slovakia.

Earlier Naftogas of Ukraine suspended gas procurements from Gazprom.

"Due to the fact that the availability period of the additional agreement between Naftogas of Ukraine and Gazprom ends on June 30, 2015 and the terms of further supplies of the Russian gas to Ukraine were not agreed on during the trilateral meeting in Vienna, Naftogas of Ukraine suspends purchasing gas from the Russian Company," the company’s press-release said.

"Gas transporting through the Ukrainian territory for the European clients of Gazprom will proceed in full accordance with contract terms," the company said.
