BRUSSELS, June 4. /TASS/. The EU, Russia and Ukraine are completing the preparation of a protocol on a new package on Russian gas deliveries to Ukraine and its transit to EU member-countries till the end of the 2015-2016 winter season, the press service of the European Commissioner for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic told TASS.
"The European Commission is currently completing the preparation of the draft protocol, together with the Ukrainian and Russian sides," the European Commission noted.
On June 2, the last of a series of tripartite expert meetings at the level of heads of departments of the energy agencies of the European Commission, Ukraine and Russia was held in Brussels behind closed doors. Its participants declined to comment on the issue, pointing to the "constructive, working character" of the discussion aimed at preparing the final round of talks at the ministerial level.
