CAIRO, May 26. /TASS/. United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) may lease 12 SJ-100 aircraft to EgyptAir and provide an option for another 12 aircraft. The leasing scheme may be used, UAC Head Yuri Slusar told journalists Tuesday.
"Theoretically we are considering 12 plus 12 [aircraft - TASS], our route network requires roughly this number," he said.
"Yesterday we discussed the option of trading-in [an item trades in for payment for a new one - TASS] Embraer-170 aircraft, they need to do something with it, and they have 15 aircraft. The aircraft are old, and there is no economic value in it. We will discuss it. We should sieze the chance, because it is not just 12 or 24 aircraft, but a whole new continent where it's all going to be used. This is important," he said.
