MOSCOW, May 21. /TASS/. The Russian gas producer Gazprom received another $30 mln of prepayment for gas supplies from Naftogaz of Ukraine, the company reported Thursday.

"Today another $30 mln were transferred to Gazprom’s payment account from Naftogaz of Ukraine as prepayment for Russian gas supplies in May," the report said.

As was reported earlier previous payments were made on May 13 and 14. Naftogaz transferred $30 mln on May 13 and $32 mln on May 14 to Russia’s Gazprom.

CEO of Russian gas producer Alexey Miller said Ukraine’s need in the Russian natural gas has doubled since May 1.

According to the data provided by Ukraine's gas pipeline operator Ukrtransgaz, in late April gas imports from Russia totaled around 12-13 cubic meters a day. At the beginning of May they increased to 18 mln cubic meters a day. Starting from May 15 Ukraine’s daily imports of Russian natural gas range from 28 to 32 cubic meters.
