Draft law on foreign debt payment moratorium submitted to Ukrainian parliament

KIEV, May 19. /TASS/. The Ukrainian government is submitting a draft law to the country's parliament allowing the cabinet to suspend payments of foreign debts if necessary, the government's press service said on Tuesday.

Ukraine’s Minister of Finance Natalie Jaresko said earlier that Ukraine is honoring all its foreign debt service commitments.

Russia had earlier purchased the tranche of Ukraine’s Eurobonds in the amount of $3 bln. When asked whether Ukraine is going to make scheduled repayment of the debt to Russia in June, Natalie Jaresko said: "Future is the future."
