Documents on Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the EEU Agreement signed

Leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union also signed specific international agreements comprised in the law of the EEU in connection with Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the Agreement

MOSCOW, May 8. /TASS /. Presidents of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia signed documents on Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union Agreement.

Leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) signed the protocol on amendments to the EAEU Agreement of May 29, 2014 and specific international agreements comprised in the law of the Eurasian Economic Union in connection with Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the Agreement. The signing ceremony took place after the EAEU summit.

Fifteen decisions were also approved, particularly in respect of the Free Trade Agreement between the EAEU and Vietnam and the initiation of talks with China on conclusion of the trade and economic cooperation agreement. Furthermore, decisions pertain to milestones of the macroeconomic policy of EAEU member-nations in 2015-2016, EAEU common electricity market concept and phased liberalization of motor freight transportation in the EAEU for 2016-2025.

The EAEU leaders also resolved to hold the next summit meeting of the Union in Kazakhstan’s capital Astana in October.
