MOSCOW, April 29. /TASS/. Russia's gas giant Gazprom has confirmed receiving $40 mln from Naftogaz of Ukraine as prepayment for Russian natural gas supplies, the Russian gas giant said on Wednesday.
"Yes, funds were received," Gazprom said.
According to data of Ukrainian gas pipeline operator Ukrtransgaz, Ukraine purchased 261 mln cubic meters of Russian gas in 27 days of April in the amount of $64.5 mln, based on the price of $247.2 per 1,000 cubic meters.
TASS reported earlier Naftogaz transferred $30 mln to Gazprom on April 2, $20 mln on April 9, and $20 mln on April 18 as prepayments for the Russian gas.
