GORKI (Moscow Region) 19 January. /TASS/. The Russian government should develop measures to diversify the market for domestic products, said Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting on industry stabilization on Monday.

"We need to make an effort to diversify the markets for our products. The export infrastructure is gradually developing in Russia's Far East, despite the fact that the European market remains very important to us," Medvedev said. He added that it is necessary to expand trade and economic relations with Asian, African and Latin American countries.

"APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) countries account for more than a quarter of all Russian trade. And of course, we need more time to consider the advantages that this market offers us, its opportunities and constraints," Medvedev added.
