BRUSSELS, January 12. /TASS/. European Commission Vice-President for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic plans to meet with Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, Energy Minister Alexander Novak and Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller in Moscow on January 14, Anna-Kaisa Itkonen, Spokesperson of the European Commission, said on Monday.
She said the topics for discussion, along with the implementation of the winter package, would include preparations of the summer package. Sefcovic’s visit is linked with the talks on the implementation of the winter package of gas supplies from Russia to Ukraine, she said, adding that this was the key purpose of his visit to Kiev in November. Apart from that, in her words, he plans to discuss preparations of the summer package.
On October 31, 2014, Russia, the European Union and Ukraine agreed terms of gas supplies till the end of March 2015.
