Kiev imports 350 mcm of Russian gas in December 9-24

According to Ukrainian gas pipeline system operator Ukrtransgaz, the daily blue fuel supplies amount to 23 million cubic meters

KIEV, December 26. /TASS/. Ukraine has imported 350 million cubic meters of gas from Russia between December 9, when gas giant Gazprom restarted supplies to Kiev, and Wednesday, December 24, the country’s gas pipeline system operator Ukrtransgaz said in a statement Friday.

“As of Wednesday, during a month 350 million cubic meters of gas were imported from Russia,” the company said, adding that the daily blue fuel supplies amount to 23 million cubic meters.

On Monday, Ukrtransgaz said Kiev imported 593.1 million cubic meters from Slovakia and 43.1 million cubic meters from Poland from December 1 through December 20.

Currently, besides gas supplies from Russia, Ukraine also receives gas in a reverse mode from Slovakia and Poland. Hungary, which earlier suspended reverse supplies to Kiev, said it is ready to resume supplies in January 2015.
