Russia’s Rosneft ready to cooperate with government in currency sales — source

MOSCOW, December 23. /TASS/. Russian oil major Rosneft is ready to participate in the government’s program for scheduled exchange of revenue into rubles if it receives an order to do that, a source in the company said.

“Rosneft is in contact with federal authorities and it totally fulfills the guidelines set by the government,” the source said.

Kommersant business daily reported earlier on Tuesday that the government will order the largest exporters, Gazprom, Rosneft, Alrosa, Zarubezhneft and Kristall to exchange revenue into rubles to ensure a source of sustainable supply of about $1 billion of foreign currencies to the domestic market amid sanctions.
