Gas and electricity tariffs to be raising in Ukraine till 2017 - minister of social policy

KIEV, December 10. /TASS/. Gas and electricity tariffs in Ukraine will be raised to the market level till 2017, Minister of Social Policy Pavel Rozenko said on Wednesday.

“It will not be a shock therapy for our citizens. This process will take place till 2017,” he said.

Earlier, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced plans to raise energy tariffs in the country. “We will raise all energy prices and tariffs to the market level, but will ensure privileges and subsidies to all who needs such privileges and subsidies,” he said.
