Russia’s budget may lose $6 billion from oil price fall, ruble devaluation — Audit Chamber

MOSCOW, December 9. /TASS/. Russia’s budget may lose 331 billion rubles ($6 billion) in 2015 from a fall in world oil prices and the ruble’s devaluation, Audit Chamber head Tatiana Golikova said on Tuesday.

The Audit Chamber head said the estimate was based on the current macro-economic forecast prepared by Russia’s Economic Development Ministry.

The Russian budget losses may even be larger, depending on dividend payments by Rosneftegaz, a state holding company that holds controlling stakes in Gazprom and Rosneft, she said.
