Ukraine’s Naftogaz proposes creation of underground gas reserves

KIEV, December 3. /TASS/. Ukrainian state-owned energy company Naftogaz wants to establish gas contingency reserves in underground storages, the company said in a letter to the Energy Community and market participants on Wednesday.

The company wants to supply gas to domestic consumers, including households and companies, transparently and on the proportionality principle and “within the state regulation of natural gas prices and the establishment of insurance gas reserve in underground gas storages by each market participant,” it said.
