KIEV, December 1. /TASS/. Ukraine’s state-owned energy company Naftogaz Ukrainy has not yet sent a prepayment to Russian gas giant Gazprom, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yury Prodan told reporters Monday.
Prodan said “Not yet,” when asked about the prepayment.
On November 14, Prodan said Ukraine will purchase up to 1.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Russia until the end of 2014 and transfer the prepayment by December 1. Kiev also plans to purchase up to 1 billion cubic meters of gas from Russia in January-March 2015, depending on weather.
