Russia’s Rostec to develop chassis for SSJ-100 planes together with France's Safran

International certificats will ensure that the holding will get access to the global market, including being a supplier for leaders of aircraft industry such as Boeing and Airbus

MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Aviation Equipment Group, a unit of Russian state-owned industrial corporation Rostec, will develop and produce chassis for Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100) planes together with Messier-Bugatti-Dowty (MBD), a unit of France’s Safran, a representative for the group said Friday.

Aviation Equipment Group has already received a NADCAP certificate, an essential condition for localization of production and improvement of the chassis design in a partnership with MBD, the representative said.

“Today we are designing the newest module systems, which can be unified under almost every aircraft. International certificates will ensure that the holding will get access to the global market, including being a supplier for leaders of aircraft industry such as Boeing and Airbus. Only three companies in Russia have such certificates,” the group’s CEO Maxim Kuzyuk said.
