Gazprom requests administrative privileges under Power of Siberia gas pipeline project

MOSCOW, November 24. /TASS/. Russia’s natural gas giant Gazprom has requested administrative privileges for the construction of facilities within the Power of Siberia gas pipeline project, member of the Gazprom management, head of the department for the work with Russia’s government agencies Vladimir Markov said.

“We’ve made a suggestion to the government, we’ve asked it, to be more precise, to make a range of decisions concerning the reduction of administrative barriers for construction. We do not need anything else yet,” Markov said.

The Power of Siberia will become a unified gas transmission system for the Kovykta field with 1.5 trillion cubic meters of gas reserves in the Irkutsk Region and the Chayandinskoye field with 1.2 trillion cubic meters of gas reserves in Yakutia and will bring gas from these centers to Vladivostok via Khabarovsk.
