MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. Russian gas giant Gazprom is ready to launch gas supplies to Ukraine after its gas company Naftogaz Ukrainy meets its protocol commitments, Gazprom spokesman Sergey Kupriyanov said on Saturday.
“The Russian government has just signed a resolution on a lower duty for gas exports to Ukraine,” Kupriyanov said. “So Russia has fulfilled the condition stipulated in the Brussels three-party protocol.”
“From November 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015 Ukraine will be given a discount of $100 per 1,000 cubic meters to the gas price based on the formula stipulated in the 2009 gas agreement between Moscow and Kiev,” he said.
“The price of Russian natural gas for Ukraine will equal $378 per 1,000 cubic meters in the fourth quarter of the current year. Gazprom is ready to resume gas supplies to Ukraine after Naftogaz Ukrainy meets its protocol commitments.
