Ukraine ready to down pay for Russian gas under temporary agreement — Prodan

MOSCOW, October 21. /TASS/. Ukraine has agreed to down pay for Russian gas supplies under a temporary contract, Ukrainian Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Yuri Prodau told a news conference on Tuesday.

“We are ready to pay in advance but the advance payment mechanism has not yet been squared,” he said.

Also Ukraine will try to find financial resources to pay for gas jointly with the European Commission.

Ukraine hopes to receive 1-2 bln cubic metres of gas in reverse mode and 2 bln more from Gazprom, Prodan said.
