Medvedev approves concept on development of domestic food assistance in Russia

MOSCOW, October 17. /TASS/. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Friday approved a concept on the development of domestic food assistance in Russia.

A document prepared by the Agriculture Ministry was approved by the government on October 3, the government’s website said.

“The goal of the concept is to develop a system of domestic food assistance as one of the directions of state support in agriculture development in compliance with the WTO Agriculture Agreement,” the website said.

The concept envisions state support for developing the production and commodity producing infrastructure of domestic food assistance in Russia.
