Erdoes: sanctions can be often favourable instrument for investments on advantageous terms

Any possible sanctions are not only the risk for long-term investors but also very often a favourable possibility to make investments on advantageous terms, said JP Morgan Asset Management CEO

WASHINGTON, October 11. /TASS/. Any possible sanctions, influencing the market, are not only the risk for long-term investors but also very often a favourable possibility to make investments on advantageous terms, JP Morgan Asset Management CEO Ms. Mary Callahan Erdoes told TASS on Friday.

“I think that there's just as many clients who are thinking about the risks of the different political issues happening all around the world, Russia just being one of them that are buffered,” she said.

“But for every client that's worried about that there is another client who thinks that's an opportunity once it gets priced into the market. And the markets have done already a very good job of bouncing back from any short-term fears,” Erdoes aid.

“So I actually think people are going to take advantage of it. I think whatever the different governments of the world are gonna do to each other in terms of sanctions and the like - I think this will have its time, and it will pass. And I think that people who are long-term investors will see beyond that. For every reduction there's a new person that's asking - is this the time?” she said.
