Putin to speak at VTB’s Russia Calling! investment forum

“The president will speak to delegates from various world countries at the plenary session and will answer their questions,” the Kremlin press service said

MOSCOW, October 2. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday will take part in the sixth VTB Capital’s annual investment forum Russia Calling! that will focus on priorities of the Russian and regional economy in the current conditions, the presidential press service said.

“The president will speak to delegates from various world countries at the plenary session and will answer their questions,” the Kremlin press service said. “The forum’s agenda also includes issues of attracting international investors to Russian markets and increasing investment inflow in the Russian economy in conditions of the current world situation and anti-Russian sanctions.”

Thursday is the second and final day of the forum. On Wednesday, CEOs of Russia’s biggest companies and representatives of the Russian government’s financial and economic structures spoke at the forum.

Organizers say that direct dialogue in the framework of the forum helps Russian companies consolidate their positions on global markets, promotes inter-cultural ties and strengthens Russia’s positions as a key centre of the global economy. Since its commencement in 2009, the forum has been attracting the most exigent audience from Russia, countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States /CIS/ and key regions of the world and promoting efficient cooperation between Russian businesses and international investors.

Last year’s forum was attended by more than 2,000 delegates, including more than 400 investors from Russia, Europe, the United States, the Middle East and Africa, as top managers of Russia’s leading companies and leading Russian politicians.

Putin took part in all previous VTB’s Russia Calling! Forums.
