MOSCOW, September 30. /ITAR-TASS/. Iran’s Vice President Sorena Sattari is due to arrive in Moscow in October to discuss bilateral cooperation with Russia in the sphere of high technologies, the Iranian ambassador to Russia said on Tuesday.

“The meeting is planned between the vice president for science and technologies, Sattari, and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin,” Ambassador Mehdi Sanai said.

Iran has earlier shown interest in launching spacecraft using Russian carrier rockets, while Russia is seeking to deploy the GLONASS global positioning system in Iran.

President of Iran Hassan Rouhani paid his first two-day visit to Russia on Sunday, during which he took part in the 4th summit of the Caspian littoral states and met with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

The Iranian leader said the documents, signed by the presidents of five Caspian littoral states (Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan), proved their political will towards developing cooperation.
