“Starting from September 17, LTE from Yota will be available on the iPhone 5S and 5C smartphones after the upgrade of the operating system up to iOS 8,” an operator spokesperson said. Apple’s new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus smartphones will support LTE from Yota automatically.
Scartel, owned by mobile operator MegaFon, said in July that Yota will start providing mobile connection services as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), basing on a united network between Scartel and MegaFon.
