Rosatom unit announces $165 million tender for nuclear fuel complex

MOSCOW, September 17. /ITAR-TASS/. The Siberian Chemical Plant, a unit of Russian nuclear corporation Rosatom, has announced a tender to build a complex to produce fuel for fast-neutron reactors, the company said in a report on Wednesday.

The maximum price of the contract amounts to 6.316 billion rubles ($165 million).

The company will announce results of the tender on November 10, while the contractor should fulfill the project by December 20, 2017.

Total investments in the project to create dense nitride fuel that will be used at all Russian nuclear plants after 2020, amount to 84 billion rubles ($2.2 billion), including 25.3 billion ruble ($660 million) investments in reactor construction.
