Russia, Vietnam to set up shipbuilding, light industry

A shipbuilding enterprise will be built in Vietnam and three light industry factories in Russia - two in the Primorsky Territory, Far East, and one in the Moscow Region

VLADIVOSTOK, September 06. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia and Vietnam will create joint ventures in the shipbuilding and light industries, according to the agreement reached by the inter-governmental commission in Vladivostok on Saturday.

A light industry cluster will be created in Vladivostok with Vietnamese investments to be made on preferential terms, Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai said after the commission meeting.

A shipbuilding enterprise will be built in Vietnam and three light industry factories in Russia - two in the Primorsky Territory, Far East, and one in the Moscow Region, Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Viktor Yevtukhov said.

The commission also discussed air service between the two countries, fisheries, energy cooperation, farm produce supplies from Vietnam, and interaction between the Russian and Vietnamese auditing and customs services.
