Russia’s gas output fell 2.8% to 117.6 billion cubic meters in January-August, according to a report published by CDU-TEK, an agency that provides data and analysis to the Energy Ministry, on Tuesday.
Of the total, gas output by Gazprom fell by 18.9 billion cubic meters to 287.7 billion cubic meters in the period, while gas output by Novatek increased 3.5 billion cubic meters to 41.686 billion cubic meters.
Gas exports rose 0.7% to 128.5 billion cubic meters in January-August. Gas exports to non-CIS countries edged up 1% to 88.989 billion cubic meters, while gas exports to CIS countries fell by 380.43 million cubic meters to 29.887 billion cubic meters.

In August, coal output increased 3% to 28.18 million tonnes.
Coal exports rose 9.7% to 102.592 million tonnes in January-August, and rose 3.8% to 12.731 million tonnes in August.
