“There is an 80% probability that the meeting will take place on September 6,” Novak said, adding that Russia and Ukraine are now waiting for an answer regarding the date from the European Commission.
"We together with (Ukrainian Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Yuri) Prodan are ready, awaiting a reply from the European Commission," Novak said. Russia is prepared to hold the meeting at any place, including Moscow," he added.
A source close to EU Energy Commissioner Gunther Oettinger said that the date of the trilateral gas talks may be defined on Tuesday-Wednesday.
