UST-KAMENOGORSK /Kazakhstan/, August 06. /ITAR-TASS/. Preparation of road maps for accession of Kyrgyzstan and Armenia to the Eurasian Economic Union is on schedule, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Kazakhstan counterpart Yerlan Idrisov said after talks on Wednesday.

“Work on the issue is on schedule,” Idrisov said. “Kyrgyzstan actively cooperates with troika members [Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus] to settle and elaborate details of a road map.”

“Both Armenia and Kyrgyzstan have presented their road maps for accession to the Eurasian Economic Union,” Russia's foreign minister said. “Armenia has completed its road map, and we are now discussing technical and organisational aspects of Armenia’s accession ceremony.”

“As for Kyrgyzstan, the road map is still being implemented,” Lavrov added. “Russia and Kazakhstan are providing bilateral assistance to Kyrgyzstan to implement measures outlined there.”

From January 1, 2015, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will switch to a high level of integration envisaging the establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union based on the Customs Union, the common economic space and the potential accumulated by the Eurasian Economic Community.
