The possibility of renewed trilateral consultations on gas problems among Ukraine, European Commission and Russia would be the key issue of the upcoming talks, she said adding the officials would discuss the date for a new trilateral meeting.
Earlier trilateral talks about gas price and Ukrainian gas debt were held among the two countries’ energy ministers Alexander Novak and Yuriy Prodan and Guenther Oettinger. The consultations started on May 2 and ended futile on June 16. Afterwards Russian and Ukrainian gas companies Gazprom and Naftogaz filed lawsuits in the arbitration court in Stockholm.
