WASHINGTON, July 30 /ITAR-TASS/. The United States is imposing new sanctions against Russia’s energy, financial and defense sectors, US President Barack Obama said Tuesday.

He did not elaborate.

Earlier the US Department of the Treasury announced The United States has expanded its sanctions against Russia over events in Ukraine.

The new sanctions have been imposed on the United Shipbuilding Corporation, VTB-Bank, Russian Agricultural Bank and Bank of Moscow.
